We have launched a new page for businesses and local operators: CuratingJapan for Businesses.
CuratingJapan has long shared Japanese culture, travel customs, and practical information with international visitors. Drawing on the traveler’s perspective we have developed through this work, we now support restaurants, accommodation providers, tourism facilities, and other businesses in creating clearer and more effective information for international guests.
For signs, menus, in-store notices, and other visitor information, we look beyond whether the English is simply “correct.” We also consider whether international guests can understand the message easily and know what to do without confusion.
The CuratingJapan for Businesses page also offers free downloadable PDFs for restaurants, accommodation providers, and transportation-related businesses. In addition, businesses can use our Free Quick Review service by sending us a photo of a sign or notice.
Our goal is to make information easier for international guests to understand, while also helping businesses and facilities communicate more smoothly and reduce the need for repeated explanations.
